It’s taken us quite a while to get up to Cape Cod, but it’s been a location goal for many years. Finally, we had the time in our schedule to conduct a workshop up there.
We began the process by filming a DVD (soon to be released) a year ago, then a couple of extensive scouting visits. The volatile fall weather cooperated, for the most part, and we were able to get a wide range of shooting conditions, but were never rained out.
On this trip, I had just bought the Nikon 200-500mm lens, which got ample use. I have found that I use this range much more than I would have ever thought. And I just got my D800 converted to infrared, which I had in New Hampshire, and continued to use extensively on this trip. The focus was on processing. With input from a new IR convert and client, Penelope “Slim” Taylor, and from our friend, Jason Odell (use discount code sweet15), different processing techniques were a major topic of conversation.
We met up with our great friends, and great Cape Cod photographers, Betty Wiley and Jeff Lovinger. Always a great time!
Here’s a gallery from our Cape Cod workshop, and we look forward to our return in 2016….wow….Twenty SIXTEEN! Where the &*%&/!!! does the time go?
